Dita Von Teese Vintage Hairstyles

Dita Von Teese Vintage Hairstyles

Dita Von Teese is anything but shy and reserved, and stylists all over the world are always waiting to see what she will wear next. The Dita Von Teese hairstyle is a hot favorite, and if you want to create this style there are a few things you need to do.
Dita Von Teese 50's Hairdo

The Dita Von Teese hairstyle is a chic look straight out of the 50s. It is a classic bob featuring curls and waves, with a part to the side. From your own home you can get a style that looks like you just came from the salon. All you need is some styling mousse and a curling iron or some hot rollers. After you have washed your hair, apply a bit of the styling mousse evenly throughout your hair. This will ensure that the style is kept in.
Dita Von Teese Hair

When it comes to blow-drying, you can use a paddle brush or a smaller radial brush. Part your hair either to the right or left, and divide into sections. Start drying from the back, and make sure that your hair is completely dry, because you don’t want it to frizz up later on. To get the curls you can use a medium sized curling iron or rollers. If you are using hot rollers, leave them in until they have cooled down. When you have all your curls perfect, apply hairspray to keep the style in shape.
By following this styling procedure you too can achieve the classic Dita Von Teese hairdo.

Latest Japanese Hairstyles Trends For 2010

Latest Japanese Hairstyles Trends For 2010

The Japanese have been at the edge of fashion for years. And today they are leading the style industry again!

There is no style that has been unaffected by the Japanese influence of using bangs to accentuate different facial features and shapes. There are plenty of hairstyles out there which are now using different length bangs at different angles to give an edgy, fresh look to celebrities in all our magazines.

There is a definite push towards the shorter haircuts these days for women and men that keep a closer cut around the head and longer hair on top so that by styling it different ways, the wearer can express their personality or mood. And they can go from one social setting to another with ease. These short haircuts require very little effort to maintain, and just about as little effort to change daily.

If you choose to look a little more edgy one day, you can go with a fauxhawk or spiky look that shows your ability to wear a shocking hairstyle with confidence. You can also choose to wear the bangs down around your face which will frame your face and make it the focus of your look. This is perfect for accentuating eye makeup or high cheek bones, but not so good for round faces if the bangs are chin length. Lastly, if you want to make some stylish, wavy, up-styled hair, you can wear it with jeans as well as more formal attire. Either way you can keep your look fashion forward.

Alexa Vega Natural Looking Hairstyle

Alexa Vega Natural Looking Hairstyle

Alexa Vega is known for her ringlet curls and if you want to recreate this hairstyle be sure to stay away from the straightening iron which tends to give you looser curls. According to most hair stylist, for the best results in this type of curl, your hair should not be freshly washed. Depending on the length of your hair, if your hair is shorter than Alexa Vega’s use a ¾ curling iron (1 inch if your hair is longer than hers). Start your curls in small sections, use clips to keep your hair in place so you can work with one layer at a time.

Keep in mind that you want looser curls on the bottom so that you maintain your length, and tighter curls on top for that adorable look. It’s also a good idea to curl your hair by clamping the curling iron in the middle of your hair; start by curling it up, then sliding the curling iron down and then curling up again to reduce the potential to damage your hair.

It's important to use small sections to achieve a true ringlet curl. You can also use a wrapping technique; just wrap small sections of hair around the curling iron without using the clamp. When you curl your bangs or the sections of hair that frame your face, curl them out and away from your face so that they blend in with the rest of your hair and finish off the style with a little hairspray for hold.

2010 Pixie Hairstyle

2010 Pixie Hairstyle

The Pixie Cut has been a favorite since it was introduced to us by the world's fashion gurus, and many celebrities have worn it well.
Halle Berry was a gorgeous example of the Pixie cut in Catwoman and in Swordfish as well. She has a great face for it with her small, feminine features and basically oval face. She has a somewhat large forehead for her face, but it is in perfect balance with her overall oval shape. And she has a wonderful profile as well. All these factors make the Pixie cut ideal for Halle because it accentuates her facial features. It brings out her eyes and cheekbones the most offering her a chance to really show off her perfect features. She looks wonderful in long hair, but there is something about her Pixie cut that really makes her glow!

More recently, if you were watching Dancing With The Stars, Kelly Osbourne also wore a Pixie cut for some of the show. She has a longer chin and generally round face, but somehow when her stylist does her Pixie look (with slightly longer hair than Halle) and pulls the hair away from her face, she really brings out the feminine features of Kelly’s face as well. Kelly had an overall softer and more innocent look about her that has been missing for a long time! Finally we get to see the gorgeous, more upbeat side of Kelly that has been lacking for most of her career. Kelly has become a real fashion success story this year!

Trendy Layered Hairstyles Winter, Summer 2010

Trendy Layered Hairstyles Winter, Summer 2010

The haircut of choice for the end of this year has been the Fringe haircut with bangs of all types. But many stylists have been coupling this look with the use of layers as well. Putting the bangs and layered hair together has been an amazing revolution in hair styling that can make any shaped face look good!
Keri Hilson Layered Hairdo

Take a minute to look at some of the styles that Keri Hilson has worn over the year. She is a great choice when looking at different hairstyles, especially short styles, because she has given women many choices. She has had very short bangs and medium length hair with layers which she colored at the tips for a shockingly beautiful effect. And she has had longer bangs and very closely cut hair around the head which gave her a fun look with plenty of sex appeal! She has been at the front of fashion and I am sure will continue to impress us all!
Keri Hilson

Mandy Moore is another wonderful example of a woman who has given us many choices in styles as well. She has gone blonde, auburn, and dark brown. She has had long, medium, and short cuts. And all the while, Mandy has used her bangs and layers to soften the edges of her rather square face shape in multiple hair lengths and colors! It is quite amazing how Mandy always keeps the Paparazzi guessing with her multiple style changes.
More important though, she gives many women hope and different choices for looks that she tries out first. Thanks Mandy!

Fringe Hairstyles Winter, Summer 2010

Fringe Hairstyles Winter, Summer 2010

There is no hairstyle that is more popular that the Fringe hairstyle this Fall. And there is great reason why it will surely continue into 2010.

Fringe styles are about taking any length hair and using layers and bangs to fit all kinds of styles and face shapes. If you have an oval face shape, nearly any style will look good with your forgiving features. But if you are like many of the rest of us, there are certain needs to balance out our face shapes and hair styles. For instance, a square face shape will want to soften the straight edges of the face with some rounded bangs and maybe some curls. And a longer face will want to hide some of the forehead with some bangs or layers to keep the focus on the eyes, nose, and mouth. The Fringe style innovations have made this a widely popular choice this year!

These innovations can be almost universally applied to medium and longer hairstyles as well, which is why we have only just begun to see what our stylists can do! Take Katie Holmes’ new bob-style haircut or Mandy Moore’s mid-length style as examples. Both ladies have different shaped faces and hair lengths, but the Fringe look has both of them looking glamorous and edgy. There is a high probability that we will see many more Fringe-style creations this year that will flatter the models and celebrities on the runway and in the magazines this year! We will luckily have lots of choices for our own styles as well!

Best Summer Hairstyles For 2010

Best Summer Hairstyles For 2010

The best hair styles this past summer are the ageless ones that can be expected in 2010 as well. There is no hair length that can’t be adjusted so your hair isn’t a ball of frizz or plastered to your face in the summer.
This year, celebrities like Rihanna and Katie Holmes created a fashion-forward obsession with shorter hair cuts. Rihanna has always been at the edge of fashion with her shorter styles and use of highlights or colors, but she has certainly started a revolution. Katie Holmes showed up in a short bob style haircut that made stylists everywhere take notice. And boy did the cameras notice! But there are all kinds of things that you can do with middle length and long hair as well. A high pony tail, like Sandra Bullock, allows you to take the hair you have and pull it back in a way that highlights your face, and allows your neck to breathe. It also provides a youthful, perky and athletic look to your style. Even longer hairstyles can be styled to let you to breathe and allow for summertime frizzes that still look stylish. The typical “mermaid mane” looks good with long hair and some waves. You can get this hairstyle by wearing your hair down and putting some light mouse into your hair with just your fingers after you shower. Also, you could add some layers or bangs to any cut because they can produce a fashionable style that can frame your face or get pulled back easily and comfortably!

Best Movie Hairstyles 2009, 2010

Best Movie Hairstyles 2009, 2010

There hasn’t been a more talked-about movie this year than New Moon of the Twilight series, and none that inspired more fashion questions either! People are simply wild about the hairstyles in this movie.
You have to give it to the hair stylists on this set; they have made the Emo style and fashion so popular! Not that they have made it mainstream, but more teens are asking how to get these haircuts! And it isn’t just the women’s hair styles that are the envy of all; it is the men’s hairstyles as well. Bravo!
Kristen Stewart showed up at the teen choice awards with a spiky, fringe cut that is the prime example of what teens want! The style is close to the head on the sides, with long spikes that fall over each side of her head creating lots of volume in a way that adds length to her face. It is finished with some straggling wispy spikes that frame her face perfectly. It is youthful, messy and gorgeous all at the same time!
Robert Pattinson Hair

Her male counterparts don’t fall short of the mark either! Robert Pattinson’s style is being highlighted as the hottest men’s hairstyle of the year. His brown hair has been highlighted and low-lighted with natural looking colors, and his short locks look like a flame is rising from his head in all directions! He clearly has the hair for young men to emulate this year!

Best Winter 2010 Haircuts

Best Winter 2010 Haircuts

The winter is not just for long hair anymore! Longer hairstyles are sometimes just too difficult to wash and wear, and they just need more attention! The modern woman has to go from the work to the gym and from the gym to a late night rendezvous. We just don’t have time for these longer styles. And that is probably why the trend for this year is a shorter look. Although some longer locks could add a little warmth to your head during these cold months, many stylish women are still looking for short to medium length styles for 2010.

Bangs are being widely used these days because of the many varying styles that can be created! Even on a longer look, bangs can add drama to the face, and help keep maintenance down as well. Depending on the shape of your face, you will want to figure out if you should try a center part or a side part, a side-swept bang or a straight one, and a cut above, at, or below the chin line. Go online and find out what your face shape is today! Then look at some celebrity photos with various styles with your face shape.

Take these photos to your stylist and discuss which ones you like and why. This winter, the most fashion-forward styles are shorter with dramatic bangs, but you will want to pick one that really flatters your facial features and natural shape! I am sure that with these tools, you will be able to create a chic new look that will be sure to turn heads!

Hairstyles Trends Winter, Summer 2010

Hairstyles Trends Winter, Summer 2010

Moving into 2010 we can expect some really interesting hairstyles to become more popular and some to continue on based on their success in 2009.

The fringe or use of “bangs” in hairstyles has become very popular in 2009, and we don’t think it has exhausted its appeal just yet. It is sporty, youthful and easy to maintain. The fringe has many variations including long and short bangs. It can go well with multiple face shapes and it can be changed regularly with dramatic results.
We see a trend towards shorter hair coming next year as well. On every magazine cover and television show we are seeing more and more celebrities going shorter. Maybe we can attribute it to the economy as well. Shorter (usually) means easier to take care of and therefore fewer products to spend on with our hard earned money. But mostly, we think short hair has truly transcended the gender bias allowing glamorously sexy and feminine shorter hairstyles to emerge.
We see some celebrities leaning towards the emergence of more edgy hairstyles as well. Razor cut bangs and interesting layers in short and long hair are now beginning to emerge. And color is pulling out very natural looking highlights in all kinds of hair which has allowed stylists to build depth and variety in their creations. Wispy ends (or simple curled ends) are very popular and will remain so into next year as well.
The key to the 2010 style is true versatility. People are looking for a hairstyle that can take them from the living room to the red carpet– from work to the dance club – and from the gym to a cocktail party without too much work in between!

Alternative, Indie Hairstyles Winter, Summer 2010

Alternative, Indie Hairstyles Winter, Summer 2010

The very definition of alternative-indie hairstyles is that they are striking, wild, and they turn heads. You have probably seen many of the punk bands like Green Day and singers like Pink sporting very outrageous hair styles. These styles are fantastic for making a bold statement (and possibly scaring your parents)!

Make a statement of personality! Artists of all kinds are the champions of this style, but it doesn’t have to be limited to these characters. And if you are looking for good hair days all the time, this is a great option because anything goes! Many musicians, artists, and sports celebrities are rocking this style because it allows them to show off their personality in a dramatic and personal way.

Change colors! If you like red – go bright red! If the next day you like yellow – don’t worry about it, just change it! Gwen Stefani was always able to use multiple colors in her hair and make it look good, so don’t confine yourself to one color either! Highlights are a genius way to go if you are looking for just a little shock of color in your hair. Sometimes just the bangs can be highlighted like Rogue on the X-men. No matter how you like it, your hair can express your mood or inner self.

Change the shape! The fringe (or “bangs”) haircut is very popular in high fashion this winter, and you can use it in your alternative haircut too! A traditional haircut in a color that is different and new can be just as effective as a Mohawk or large spikes for expressing yourself – and then you can get away with your style at work too. There are many curly hair and straight hair alternative hairstyles that will fit any face shape. And you can look cute or shocking depending on your whim and maybe depending on the events you plan to attend.

Have a thick skin! Whenever you choose to go a little out of the mainstream, there will be hecklers and stares. Just remember to have fun with it! Trust me. Many of those point-and-laugh people out there just wish they had the guts to make bold statements with their haircut styles as well. And if you keep it together, they will see you for who you are in the end.

Short Emo Hairstyles In 2010

Short Emo Hairstyles In 2010

Emo hairstyles are meant to make an impression and reflect the personality of the wearer. This can easily be done in various hairstyle choices, but since short hair in very fashionable right now, Emo hairstyles are reflecting that trend as well.

When we say short hair, we are talking about completely shaven heads to lengths that go to about midway between the chin and the shoulder. And many hairstyles on the runway and in the magazines are reflecting hairstyles at these lengths. This trend doesn’t look like it will wear itself out anytime soon either!

Shorter hairstyles allow for two things over longer styles – ease of care and variation. Emo styles are bold and shocking and very often want the ability to change with mood or event. Shorter hair allows you to change styles from curly to straight much easier, and it also allows you to change colors with less effort. Making your hair longer can be done easily with extensions at any time. And depending on what event you want to attend, you could look cute or glamorous in a short hair style! The versatility of a short Emo hairstyle is very attractive and popular now!

Emo style doesn’t follow the mainstream. Just be careful not to over-product and over-damage your hair while you are trying to express yourself in your hair style. No matter what the style, color, length or fashion, your hair should always appear healthy for you to look your best. So go wild, but take good care of your hair.

Ebony Hairstyles - Good Hair

Ebony Hairstyles - Good Hair

If you want a real education in ebony hair styles, you have to go see Chris Rock’s new movie “Good Hair.” The movie was developed on Chris’s daughter’s question; how she could get “good hair.” It is a thought provoking and simultaneously entertaining movie that delves into the idea of what the fashion industry has been pushing all these years. It is about time, a father and celebrity like Chris, demystified the industry’s secrets that damage our daughter’s views of themselves.
Good Hair, The Movie

Women with curly hair want straight hair and vice versa, but since this movie focuses on ebony hair and hairstyles, it has already been getting Caucasian women asking women of color about their hairstyles in a way that is kind of invasive, but also frank and honest.
The movie demonstrates how some products like hair relaxant is made and used on African American women’s hair. And it shows how a weave is done as well as where the natural hair comes from that is used for the extensions in all women’s hairstyles.
Realistically this is the best look at ebony hairstyles and what goes into them in a boldly honest documentary. Sure it reveals some secrets, but it has to in order to uncover what our young women need to see about the industry. All women (and men) should see the movie because it really enlightens its viewers about all the things women really do in the name of beauty and fashion!

2010 Haircuts For Men

2010 Haircuts For Men

The hairstyle scene in 2009 was pretty amazing for women, but the big question is what will be the 2010 haircut for men? The buzz has gotten a boost by the prominence of men sport stars on the fashion scene. David Beckham and Cristiano Ronaldo have proven to be major influences in what men are wearing in fragrance as well as clothing.
2010 Men Trendy Haircut

Most men look great in the either haircut worn by these superstars. The David Beckham layered look gives a clean, classic masculine profile that easily adapts from sporty to formal with a slick, trendy edge. Previews of the fashions for 2010 seem to echo this attitude with a lot of mystery in the preferred hairstyles male models worn on the runway. Chic and sophisticated ready to wear business attire also featured this contrasting, edgy look.
Ronaldo, Latest Hair Trend Setter

Giorgio Armani will feature Cristiano Ronaldo in 2010 for its men underwear collection. No doubt the designer wants to capitalize on the surging popularity of this talented soccer player from Portugal whose spirit and skill has propelled him to stardom. Cristiano Ronaldo is known for his short, faux Mohawk-style haircuts as well as his layered “messy on purpose,” tousled look that highlights his boy-next-door charm. The cropped layered look works great straight or curly. Edgy and business-style cool might be the overall feeling for the 2010 haircut for men, but there is still a lot of room for the looks that work when it’s time for men to let their hair down.

Trendy Short Emo Hairstyles 2010

Trendy Short Emo Hairstyles 2010

Emo stands for emotional and it originally was a punk-rock style. It has gone from music to an entire fashion of hair, attitude, and clothes all of its own. Both Emo clothing and hairstyles are based on black with an addition of bright colors. Emo hairstyles may take a while to perfect, but they always look great and no two are ever alike.
Trendy Short Emo Hair 2010

Short Emo hairstyles are quite popular. Emo hairstyles are meant to stand out; they are meant to make someone look different from the rest of the crowd. The cut is very important for this – it has to be unique enough to stand apart. Mohawks are sometimes worn as a short Emo hairstyle. They can be cut that way, or just shaped that way with a good bit of styling gel. Normally Emo hairstyles are very choppy with lots of uneven layers. If the style requires bangs, they are usually kept long and worn over one or both eyes.
Spikes are another popular short Emo hairstyle. These spikes are gotten using hair gel, a hairdryer, and some sort of protective spray to help protect the hair from heat damage. Some Emos choose to have very defined spikes while others prefer spikes that look like they have tussled bed hair. Color is very important in Emo hairstyles. Sometimes many colors are used to define the style and sometimes only one. The colors range from bright pink to white to purple; whatever colors the Emo is feeling at the moment. One of the most popular places for colored highlights is the bangs that hang over the eyes.

Short boy haircuts are getting more and more popular with women as our lives get busier and time to do our hair vanishes. A short boy haircut is simple to manage and very versatile. Short boy haircuts have the great advantage in that they are suited for everyone. Best Bob Hairstyles For 2010

Best Bob Hairstyles For 2010

As 2009 comes to a close and the year 2010 looms, some trends will not make it to the next year however some trends will be around and be bigger and better. The bob hairstyle is one trend that has seen a lot of changes over the years but for the most part has remained relatively the same. Many celebrities have debuted with the version of the bob and this has only helped to fuel the fury of the bob. The angled bob will definitely be a winner in 2010.
Trendy Bob For 2010

Ladies love the look which is long on one side and short on the other. Ladies who want to go for the bob look but who prefer to leave their long layers can now have a long version of the bob. The noticeably shorter length creates a great look and a very neat appearance. Another popular form of the bob is to have the length the same on the right and left side and have choppy layers throughout the back. The choppy layers in the back add a lot of volume to the hair and the layers in the front help to emphasis the facial features. Bobs will continue their style and elegance in 2010

Jesse McCartney Hair

Jesse McCartney Hair

Jesse’s hairstyle is very popular among young men right now and not very difficult to do. His hair is cropped short and layered. He has his bangs swept off his forehead and used a little styling gel to spike his hair up. He didn’t go overboard with it, which is why this look works for him. Jesse has a bit of a round face and this hairstyle helps to thin his face out a good deal. It also draws more attention to his gorgeous eyes since they become the center of attention rather than his round face or his hair.
Jesse McCartney Hair and Fashion Style

Jesse has great style and many young men would do well to mimic him. This singer is a breath of fresh air in that he doesn’t have over the top fashions but obviously cares about his looks; thank goodness for a singer who doesn’t go to one of those extremes.

Hair Texture - Fine Hair

Hair Texture - Fine Hair

Just as there are haircuts that look great on specific face shapes, there are hair fashions that work best with a certain texture of hair. Hairstyles for fine hair are perfect for the woman who has hair that breaks or frizzes up easily. The biggest challenge these women face from fine hair is that it lacks the body and strength needed to hold some of the most popular styles.
There is a lot of confusion about the difference between “fine hair” and “thin hair” they are not the same thing. Fine hair is smaller in diameter than a normal strand of hair; where thin hair certain hair simply means you don’t have the normal amount of hair strands on your head. Even for the women who have an abundant amount of hair on their head, if it is fine in texture, finding a hair cut that works well for you can take a considerable patience. This situation gets even more complicated if your hair is both fine AND thin. Diet, age and stress can all be factors for thinning hair. Hairstyles for fine hair are the type of haircuts that can make fine hair look fuller to create a frame for your face. At the top of the list is the classic bob with its many variations. In the hands of an expert stylist, you will be amazed at the difference a layered cut can make in your appearance. This is one of the best remedies to eliminate the dreaded “mop head” look.

Spunky Hairstyles 2010

Spunky Hairstyles For 2010

Hairstyles come in many shapes and forms. Sometimes they are sweet and romantic. Other times they are daring and wild. Your hair is a great way to make a statement. Here are a couple of styles to try for a spunky look.

The Bob Haircut
The bob is a hairstyle that has been around for years. It’s easily updated for a more modern look. An asymmetrical bob is good for a spunky look. In this cut, the hair in back is very short, perhaps even shaved. The hair in front is longer and cut into a slant that runs all the way down to the chin. You can change this style up a bit by having the long hair all on one side. An angled bob is also a good choice; you have lots of choices where this cut is concerned. You can go for lots of layers, different length hair, different angles, and highlights.

The Razor Cut
The razor cut is a very modern, trendy style. It is also very easy to care for. All you need to maintain this style is some mouse, a flat iron, and your fingers. This is a very daring style that you need a professional to do for you. A sharp razor is used to create wild, blunt locks that go in a variety of directions. You can also have your hair cut so that it all goes in one direction instead of many different ones. Katie Holmes and Rhianna are two good examples.

Sarah Harding has been wearing short hair lately. She seems to favor short haircuts that show off her best facial features. One style is a severe looking bob. Her hair is cut straight across just above the eyebrows, and left a bit longer along either side of her face in front of her ear. Her hair is shaped around her ears and has a tapered, razor cut in the back. To finish this look, use a flat iron to give your hair that straight, sleek look. This straight hairstyle may not look flattering on people with very round faces, though it could probably be adapted for them.

Another look Sarah has worn is a straight blonde emo cut. She wears her bangs straight, swept to the side, and long enough to partially cover one eye. The cut has lots of uneven layers and shags all through it. Make sure you add some volume to your hair in back if you want to go for this look. To get the volume you need for this cut, just use your hairdryer and blow-dry your roots at an angle, then the rest of your hair. This will give you all the volume you might need. This cut would be great for those who like to add highlights and different colors to their hair; it also would look good on those with delicate, angular features.

Teenage Boys Hairstyles 2010

Teenage Boys’ Hairstyles Tips 2010

Teenage boys have more options than ever in how they wear their hair. Parents and teachers are becoming more accepting of different styles other than the traditional short cuts for teen boys. Long hair is becoming more and more acceptable and teen boys are able to wear shaggy and emo styles without worry.
Teenage Boy Hair Idea 2010

Short hairstyles are still very popular among teenage boys because they are so easy to take care of. Styles range from something needing a bit of styling to just wash and wear. Short spikes are still common and can easily be done with just a bit of styling gel. Layers work wonders to update an older style and make it all a teen boy’s own. Layers help hide problem facial features or fine hair while bringing lots of style into a teenager’s look. Some teenage boys like to add fringes and bangs to their hair, which gives them many options as to how they style their hair. To find a suitable short style, teenage boys should go to a stylist so that they can be sure their hairstyle is just right for them.
Layered looks are as popular with teen boys as they are with girls. There are lots of styles to choose from with a layered look and they range from preppy to Emo. Layers can help a teen boy look good whether he’s playing soccer or out on a date. They are easy to take care of and they don’t require a lot of maintenance. Emo styles are very popular and take a bit more time to do. Whatever style a teenage boy chooses, he should take into consideration how easy it is to take care of, how long he wants it and whether layers would be good for him.

In Style Bangs-Fringe Short Hairstyles 2009, 2010

Latest Trendy Fringe-Bangs Haircut Styles 2009, 2010

The fringe haircut is truly just a haircut that has bangs. Fringe is a much more stylish word for bangs. The fringe haircut enjoyed a lot of popularity back in the 1980’s. Back then, fringe haircuts were curly, frizzed and teased into all sorts of styles. Now, with the help of celebrities such as Kate Moss, the fringe haircut is making a comeback.
Short Fringe Hair For 2010

The conventional fringe haircut is very simple. The bangs are cut straight across just above the eyes and the rest of the hair is straight as well. It’s a very sophisticated look that is sleek and sexy. Modern fringes have much more variation to them. They have been adapted to suit a variety of face shapes and hair lengths. Modern styles range from windswept looking, to unkempt, to even razor cut. Layers are often used to bring more personality into the fringe haircut and using different highlights and colors will allow you to make a statement. Some fringe hairstyles even allow the fringe to go over the hairs. Your bangs are the major part of the fringe look. While layers and the rest of your hair are important, it’s your bangs that define your look. You can make them asymmetrical or choppy for a wild child look or you can keep them straight and soft for a very chic feminine look. You don’t have to wear your fringe haircut the exact same way day after day. Change the parting of your bangs for a new look whenever you want. Use some styling gel to give them curls and curves. The fringe is a great look that is easy to manage, easy to dress up or down, and looks great on any woman.

2009, 2010 Hair Care Tips for Men

2009, 2010 Hair Care Tips for Men

Hair care is not just for the girls! Men who want to look great need to take care of their hair too. The following are a few tips for men who want to look their best.
2010 Hair Care Tips for Men

Towel rubbing is a No-No
Rubbing your hair with a towel is the worst way you can dry your hair. If you can, just pat your hair with a towel and let it dry naturally. If you must use a towel to actually dry your hair, start and the roots and run the towel over your hair in the direction your hair grows. It takes longer, but you’ll hair will thank you.

Stay Cool
Extremely hot showers are great for aching muscles. But your hair hates them. Very hot water will strip all of the essential oils out of your hair. So if you like hot showers, but your hair is always dry, this is why.

Stay Away from Chemicals
Try not to overdo it on the perms and hair colors. These damage your hair. Also be aware of what styling products you use. The shorter your hair is, the less products you need (you don’t need any for very short hair) so make sure what you’re using is what you really need.

Conditioner is Your Friend
Conditioner isn’t just a girl thing. Men should use a good shampoo and conditioner that is made for their hair type. Also remember that you don’t have to shampoo your hair every single day; a good rinse or conditioning is just fine. Unless of course you’re sweaty from a construction job or working out; then shampoo to get rid of the grime.

Try these tips and you’ll have hair looking as good as any woman’s in no time. Remember: great looking hair starts with a great haircut, so make sure to see your stylist for a new look that’s just for you.
