Easily Maintained Hairstyles 2010

Easily Maintained Hairstyles 2010

Every woman had those days where she wishes she could just get up, shower and go, without taking an hour or five to do something to her hair. This can be remedied, if you find a hairstyle that’s easily maintained.

Try a pixie cut. This style is short, and can be worn messy or straight. Clips can be added to make it more interesting, and something as simple as a part could make it look like you have a brand new hairstyle.
A contemporary cut can also do the trick. That’s a modern cut that’s usually straight, sleek and cut so that it frames your face. You can maintain it with something as simple as a blow dryer and gel. You don’t even need a brush; just gel it down, then blow dry it with a comb. Wrapping it will keep the look flat for up to two weeks.

Soft layers are also easily maintained, with regular trimming, and can be styled any way you like. Another option is to have your hair cut to about medium length, perhaps just shoulder level. It takes a short amount of time to wash and style, and affords versatility for every occasion.

If you are African-American and looking for an easily maintained hairdo, braids are always a popular choice. Braids allow your hair to rest, and some styles – such as tree braids and micro braids – allow your hair to rest and afford you versatility. These styles can last anywhere from six weeks to three months.

What is the Fashionable Hair Color in 2010

What is the Fashionable Hair Color in 2010

The blonde craze won’t go away, thanks to those wonderful women who live in the Playboy mansion. I was blonde once upon a time, platinum blonde, and I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed that. And some people say that blondes have more fun, but I disagree.
Dark hair is actually the fashionable hair color this year. While blonde will always be in style, some women don’t look right blonde. Dark hair colors can be pulled off by anyone with any skin tone, face shape or hair type. You just have to find out what’s best for you.
Brunette is always the safest option. Nothing’s more gorgeous than healthy brown locks that catch the light, especially of the chocolate persuasion. To me, that is the best hair color out there.
Feeling bold? Go red. I’m absolutely envious of Lindsay Lohan’s natural hair color, because it’s rich and beautiful on her skin. Truthfully, I’ve always wanted to be a redhead, and someday I’ll actually work up the courage to get it done.
Black is a good option, but it doesn’t work for everyone. It’s better for people with color to their skin; if you’re too pale you’ll wind up looking gothic, which is OK for lost teenage girls, but not career women. Then again, you might disagree, and think that you can still pull it off. And I won’t argue with you if you do. You’ll never know until you try, so I say go for it.

Short Hairstyles for the 4th of July

Short Hairstyles for the 4th of July

Summertime is a time of picnics, 4th of July fireworks, camping, and heat. Lots of heat. Anyone who has had long hair will tell you that it’s miserable in the summer. Not only is it heavy in general, but it seems heavier in the summer humidity, and it’s much hotter than short hair. Here are some hairstyles to keep your cool while still looking hot this 4th of July.

Pixie
Pixie cuts are not for everyone, but if you can wear a pixie cut, they are perfect for the hot summer months. These cuts are great for women who have fine, narrow features, and they are very low maintenance. They’re also good for those with fine hair because hair appears fuller. Avoid these cuts if your face is round because they will make you seem heavier.

Bob
The bob haircut may have been around for a while, but it’s back in style and sexier than ever. The great thing about bobs is that they can be layered and styled to suit any shape face. A bob – if done by a good stylist – can look great on any woman and these cuts are very easy to care for. Best of all, you can change them around a bit just by changing the part or how your bangs lay.

Shag
Shags are great styles that are also easily suited to any shape face. These styles can be short or medium, and are fun, airy, and trendy. They aren’t styles that are going to be out of fashion in just a week, but are great styles for anyone looking for something that isn’t as short as a bob or pixie. They are also great bases for growing your hair out long and layered in the fall.

How To Choose The Best Hair Color

How To Choose The Best Hair Color

So, you want to change your hair color? That’s great! But in order to change your color, how do you pick the best color for you? Some people might not care, and just go for whatever color they want now, while others want their hair color to look as natural as possible. Here are some tips to help you pick the best hair color for you.

If you have pink undertones to your skin, then you should choose colors that are cool tones. Warm tones bring out the pink in your skin, so if you have blemishes or reddened skin for any reason, you probably won’t want a warm tone because it will bring attention to that. Cool tones that are perfect are champagne, sandy, or ash blonde. Another very nice tone for pink undertones is any of the cool browns. If you have yellow undertones – such as olive skin or ashy skin – then you need to use warm golds or reds for your hair color. These will look the best without making you look sick.

You’ll know that you chose the wrong hair color if you end up needing to wear more makeup than you need before. If your hair color is the right one for you, then it will help to make your face glow. Some hair colors require a lot of touchups to keep them looking as good as they did before, so when you go to your hairstylist to have your hair colored, make sure you’re honest with both yourself and them about whether or not you’ll make the effort. You also should take pictures with you, because a generic term such as “honey” can be very different from stylist to stylist.

Eva Longoria Hair

Eva Longoria's Trendy Short To Medium Hairstyles

Eva Longoria is admired by many for her chic, elegant, and classy looks. She was named one of the most beautiful people and even has a contract with L’Oreal. Eva is a well-known actress. She’s had roles on several daytime dramas, such as “The Bold and the Beautiful”, “General Hospital,” and “Beverly Hills, 90210.” She also has played on “The Young and the Restless” and she’s become very popular worldwide thanks to “Desperate Housewives.”
Eva Longoria's Trendy Hair

A popular style that Eva wears is a layered, curly style. In this style, her medium length hair is cut into several layers all around her head. The hair is parted in the center, and then each layer is curled. Her front bangs are parted alongside her face, and curled outward, while her side bangs are curled slightly under. The rest of her hair is curled loosely and allowed to fall naturally over her shoulders. This look is great for anyone who loves curls and wants a more natural style. A curling iron or hot rollers, moisturizer, and styling gel are all you need to achieve this style.
Eva Longoria's Updo Hairstyle

Eva also has the perfect answer for the times when you need an attractive updo that won’t take your entire day to do. In one updo, she parts her hair in the middle, then pulls it straight back and creates a low bun. It’s even on the top and pulled back behind her ears. It’s a great style for those with more delicate features, though if you’re unsure, talk with your stylist who can give you a better idea of how to adapt this style to suit you. It’s very easy to do – you just need mousse, spray, a blow dryer, your fingers, and about 10 minutes. Blow dry your hair, add mousse with your fingers, brush it evenly and pull back, and you’re set. Dress it up with accessories if you desire.

Short Layered Hairstyles For Hot Summer 2010

Short Layered Hairstyles For Hot Summer 2010
If you have short hair, you don’t have to settle for a basic, boring cut such as a classic bob. To add a good bit of personality and flair to your hairstyle, try adding layers to your haircut. Layers are trendy, fun, and there are many things that you can do with layers. If you have very curly hair, it doesn’t layer very well and those who change their hair often may not like layers because it can take time to grow your hair all to one length again. That said, layers can give many people a lot of versatility in their hairstyles.

A shag is a great example of a short haircut that has lots of style and personality. These cuts are excellent for those who don’t want to deal with a lot of maintenance and who enjoy a look that is unkempt yet fashionable. Shags use layers to add spice to the hairstyle, and to make sure that the haircut is suitable for anyone who wants it. Layers are also wonderful for anyone who has fine or thin hair because they add volume naturally and make hair appear fuller.

Another great layered cut is a bob. Bobs can be adjusted to suit any woman and layers add sophistication, fun, and personality to a boring bob. Use layers to add color and highlights to your hair, chop them up to give yourself an exotic, slightly wild look, or keep them all curled to give yourself a great look that can go from day to night in a snap. Layers are excellent ways to lighten heavy hair or to balance out a face. Layers are extremely popular in short hairstyles – razor cuts, bobs, pixies, and more all use layers. Talk to your stylist to find the perfect layered haircut for you.

Today's Asian Hairstyles – Short Hair Is In

Today's Asian Hairstyles – Short Hair Is In

When we think about Asian hairstyles we think long flowing, pin-straight jet-black hair. When we think Asian pop then the funky neon highlights pop into mind. While this may not be too far off in certain situations, there is a great deal of other styles that are popular. Here of some of today’s Asian hairstyles.

One of the styles that is becoming increasingly popular is the short length with straight bangs. This creates a sleek and sexy look. Women with longer hair tend to add soft curls for body and even asymmetrical bangs to break the precision. While all these alternative styles are great, many women stick to the classic style, which has a length below the shoulder with no bangs.

When it comes to today’s Asian hairstyles for men, the possibilities are endless. They can even outdo the women when it comes to creating interesting hairstyles. They range from bald to long flowing locks. Among the more popular styles today is the short cut featuring spikes in all directions. This is great for younger guys and gives them a fresh funky look. For a more sophisticated look there is the shorter cut with bangs that can be gelled into a variety of styles.

Another trend these days is color. Many women opt for a small amount of blonde or red and allow it to fit in naturally, while others go for bright orange or pink highlights. Most men will leave their color as is, but it is not unusual to see some with some or other form of red hair. Styles and colors are only limited by creativity, and Asians have no shortage of that.

Today’s Asian styles are funky and chic, and where the trends will lead to next is anybody’s guess. What we can be sure of is that they will be stylish.

Shattered Bob Hairstyle For Trendy Summer Look

Shattered Bob Hairstyle For Trendy Summer Look

If I had enough hair, I would certainly want a shattered bob. It looks so lively and playful, and is one of the few hairstyles that go with any occasion. Perhaps I should look into it in about a year, if I can stop from taking the scissors to my hair every season.

A shattered bob is created by precise cuts that create uneven, shattered layers of various lengths. They circle the head giving it a hugging, fringe effect. Your part might be crazy and uneven, but in the end you’ll have living art on your head. The result is hair that moves, grooves, shakes, and has a life of its own.

Shattered bobs give the impression that you’re coy, which is very sexy. For added touches, you can even get a multidimensional tone put in, or outright contrasting colors. The point of this hairstyle isn’t to make it look natural, but to make it look fun. You’re bold, daring. You can’t hold back if you’re going to get this done; you might as well go all out with it.

If you get bored with it, there are lots of options for you to keep it from going stagnant. You can use finger waves, or flat iron it and make it smooth and soft. You can run your hands through it and ruffle it up for that messy look. You can even use a crimping iron and crimp random sections of it, giving it odd but surprising texture. The same can be done with a curling iron – random curls can give it extra body.
